Game objectives and core mechanics

The focus is on recognizing animals and colors and estimating sizes. Each turn, you draw an animal card and say out loud which animal it is (lion, monkey, giraffe, zebra), what color you see (yellow, green, blue, or red), and what size the animal has (small, medium, large). Then you choose the correct tokens and place them strategically on the game board. If you got everything right, you flip the card and immediately check the correct answer. This way, you track yourself step by step towards victory and naturally stimulate your cognitive development!

How to play Criteria?

You start by looking over all the game materials together with the other players. Then you name the different animals, colors, and sizes and neatly divide the piles of tokens and cards. Each player takes turns drawing an animal card, placing it into the slot on the board, and gets to work: what animal is on the card? What color and size is it? Grab the right tokens from the piles and place them on the board exactly in the right spot. Done? Time to flip the card and check if everything is correct. Hooray! All correct? Then quickly move on to the next card. This way, you and your fellow players stay active, build your skills, and have lots of fun together!
