Introduction

In a city overwhelmed by bold thefts, the mysterious Dr. Moritz is on the run and it’s up to you – together with your team – to cooperate and catch him in time. SpyGame Detective is a cooperative board game where tension, teamwork, and lightning-fast searching take center stage. Objective of the game

In SpyGame Detective you help the super detective SpyGuy together with other players. Your main mission is simple but anything but easy: catch Dr. Moritz before he reaches the harbor and slips out of the city. To catch him, you must find as many clues as possible in the maze of the city. Each round, you race against the clock to find specific items on the colorful game board. The more clues you find, the faster SpyGuy can catch up to the thief. But beware: Dr. Moritz moves faster toward his escape with every trail he leaves behind. If you fail to keep up with him, the villain wins and the team loses. Losing is shared, but winning tastes even better together!

How to play

You place the city board on the table and set SpyGuy and Dr. Moritz on their starting positions. The deck of clue cards is ready, as well as the hourglass and clue markers. When the game begins, someone flips the top clue card and starts the hourglass – from that moment on, everyone searches as fast as possible for the depicted object on the board. At each found location, you immediately place a clue marker. Time is ticking because as soon as the sand runs out, you may no longer point out anything.

Then you count, together with your team, how many objects (clues) you have found and move SpyGuy forward by that number of steps, while Dr. Moritz follows his own footprint trail on the board. If you manage to catch the master thief, you become the heroes of the city. If he reaches the harbor first, he escapes and you will have to try even smarter next time. Thanks to handy “shortcuts” on the board and well-timed teamwork, each game feels unique, exciting, and full of surprises.
