Objective of the game
The goal in NONAGA is simple: be the first player to place your three pieces on adjacent discs. This may seem easy, but the path to victory is challenging. Every turn forces you to make smart choices. Do you move your piece closer to your goal, or do you block your opponent’s plans? Each turn consists of a double action: you not only move your piece but also move a disc, changing the playing field. This makes NONAGA a true thinking game for two players where foresight and adaptability are essential.
How to play
The game starts with a hexagonal field formed by the wooden discs. You and your opponent take turns placing your pieces on the corners. Once the game begins, you perform two actions during your turn. First, move one of your own pieces in a straight line over the discs until you reach the edge of the field or encounter another piece. This is your chance to improve your position. After moving one of your pieces, take a free disc from the edge of the playing field and move it to a new position. The disc you move must touch at least two other discs when placed in its new position. The playing field changes with every move. Block your opponent, create new paths for yourself, and subtly work toward that winning combination of three in a row. NONAGA is a challenging game for the whole family that constantly keeps you engaged. Also suitable as a filler during a game night.
